Dont worry, I'll take the sat-nav so I don't get lost (Dad is right in that I have literally no sense of direction! )
Anyway, I'll also pack lots of boxes of shreddies! All will be fine! :D

Hi, As requested, a few more pics of the traveller.
I have found a rather worrying rust hole into the wheel arch which looks a little too close to the springs.
I will post a few pics of that are to the bodywork thread in the hope someone can advise just how serious (or not) it is.
Thanks to those who have offered to make sure Andrew/Andy/Sidney gets enough breakfast on MOT-UK.
Knowing his eating habits I would say he will have a bigger stock of 'malted wheaties' (aka Shreddies) than the local ASDA.
Cheers,[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful traveller you've got there, Eric!

What's the funny thing above the steering wheel on the windscreen? Never seen something like that before. (Maybe it's common, but I haven't a clue. :D )

I had never seen one of those before either.
Sorry Dale but the points go to Lou, it is a heater element to clear a frozen windscreen on icy days.
It is just below the line of sight to the end of the bonnet so not in the way but I don't know what drain it has on the battery. According to the chap I bought the car from it works really well though I hope I won't find out for several months now that spring is in the air.

Nice looking car Eric, great colour, it's definitely got that 60s look about it. This year seems to be a 60s retro year with those sort of colours popping up in everything.

Have fun with your car.

I have to say that this car is very photogenic. The paintwork shines beautifully in photos but when you get close up.........
Apparently it used to be black but when the last owner bought it in the mid 80's he had a lot of green paint left from his previous car so he thought he would match this one to it and hand painted the whole car - inside and out - including all the internal side panels etc. I think he must have then gone round all the local carpet shops and 'borrowed' every green swatch he could find. I will have to be careful when I attend rallies in grassy fields - might never find it again.
