clutch noise

Post by puchmaxikid »

hi, just had the morris out the garage today, with its 1300 marina engine and box. There appears to be nothing wrong, but when you have your foot on the clutch and give it a rev a kindof high pitch noise appears on idle. but then if you take your foot of the clutch the is no noise then back on the clutch there is no noise only when reveved then on idle.
could this just be new clutch? or something major?

Any help would be great.

Loz

Most likely the release bearing. Mine does it now and again after its been standing a while but generally goes off after its been run a bit.
