Don't think you can buy a kit to overhaul dampers - usual method is to do service exchange. Are they leaking ?

Fraid so - I have tried - and failed, to get these apart to investigate how to renew seals! If there is any 'play' in the arm bearings - new seals would be a waste of time anyway.

How do the companies that sell exchange shocks refurbish the ones you send back

I doubt if they do them themselves, they probably send them off to a damper repair company with the necessary machinery.

And some of the 'refurbished' dampers have been reported to still have movement in the bearings........which new seals won't be able to 'seal' for long! So check carefully before fitting - and reject if any wear detectable.
