A good links page would eleviate this problem and offer members with a valuable resourse, especially if its compiled in a structured way, rather than just an alphabetical list.

Would it break anybody's T's&C's to do this at a branch level? I realise that's not as good as putting it here, but it'd be a start.jonathon wrote:A good links page would eleviate this problem and offer members with a valuable resourse
Non whasoever and whats more they could pay for privilage. If the ads are on a dedicated page(s) then those who dont want to see them dont have to but it would be extremely beneficial particularly to the new owner to have a site where we can see a wide variety of suppliers. It would be good for members and whats good for the members is good for the club. After all we are the club.dalebrignall wrote:what is the harm in having reputable traders that are approverd by the club in advertising on the website
Yes indeed, its a fine line to draw - declaring your business, but not advertising. I mean its not hard to put a www. and a .co.uk before and after the name in the signature and oops its an advert....jonathon wrote:Well Richard Legge and ourselves have to disclose that we are traders, despite the fact that somewhere in the T and C's it says no traders (happy to be corrected if not) If you put a link too or described your business other than your company mame then yes you will be moderated as its deemed as advertising.
