can i fit a dizzy cap off a 1098cc engine onto a 948 engine

Yes, straight swap on the dizzy, just need the correct leads.

If both 25D type dizzy - then yes!

You have two basic choices, one with the push fit leads coming out vertically and one with screw fit leads coming out sideways, you takes your pick.
