Hey Guys,
Just a heads'up that the following advert is a scam:
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C125619/
and
http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/cla ... arno/79165
As you can see, same car, different location. I'm not sure if one is an original over the other, but when I contacted the Manchester seller (before I realised it was a duplicate ad) she was very suspicious, and took a good two weeks finding pictures for me.

Re: Minor Scam!
Why do think it's a 'scam' ? The car looks ok - the pictures are the same - certainly in one add it's done 60k miles, and in the other 70k miles! But - the price is the same - maybe just a slip about the location - or perhaps the owner can deliver/show the car from either location to suit a buyer ? Perhaps explains the extra 10k miles - driving back and forth between them!

Re: Minor Scam!
Hi Paddy
Thanks for flagging this up, but I am with BMC and am not so sure it is a scam. These are two of the most popular classic car selling websites. From many wasted hours looking at these sites, I have found cars appearing on both quite frequently, and quite often on ebay as well.
Factual errors are not uncommon from private vendors, but the vendor might have put two locations on to draw in a wider pool of people. If I am in North Wales, I am more inclined to travel to Manchester rather than over the Pennines, and she may be willing to bring the car to Manchester. I wonder what you mean when you say that 'she was suspicious'. Scams do exist, but I wouldn't want to tar an innocent seller with the same brush.
For what it is worth, there is nothing better than spending 10 minutes having a noodle around these sites with a cup of tea. One of life's great simple pleasures! Doing this with tea and a biscuit is even better.
