rear wing piping

Post by singleton »

Hello all, just a quick question, my 1968 4 door saloon is a trafalgar blue car which when it came back into my familys ownership had at some point been fitted with 2 rear fibreglass wings. The piping which had been used in the fitting of these wings was black, im now fitting metal rears and have got new wing piping. I have gone for trafalgar blue wing piping is this correct for the year or would it have left the factory with black piping?

A Trafalgar blue saloon would have had blue wing piping originally. I suspect whoever fitted the fibreglass wings just used black instead because it was what they had available at the time.
