Ray think of all that coal not to mention the ashes and getting up at 4 in the morning just to light the boiler
ah yes, but my time is now my own!
I'm told that tyres have a higher calorific value than coal, so recycling at the same time as travelling (maybe shouldn't open that can of worms!) ;-)

Mine was a cheapy one, given to me secondhand, and it never ceases to amaze me how much power it kicks out, and for so long between recharges! It's even started reluctant Case tractors (the model that won't pickup unless the engine is spinning unreasonably fast!).
What make is it as I have heard that some are a bit iffy on performance.

Off topic (but on topic for the off topic bit of this thread) I came across this fantastic Stanley Steamer whilst out on a country drive earlier this year. You'd need to make quite a bit of space on your drive for it though Ray :
Image
Going right back twas the battery in the end, when I first looked there was a lot of condensation across the top of the battery, possibly caused by the very cold weather then warm sun in the daytime, by gum it is cold up here in Ayrshire on Christmas day, thanks to you all and seasons greetings from Ayr to everyone.
