The leather seats in my 61 OEW 2 Door saloon are in need of some TLC, cleaning, reconditioning etc... Can anyone recommend a suitable product ??
Or has any advice to offer in this type of restoration??
The colour is a very dark red / maroon almost brown, although this could just be the build up of 40+ years of grime, what colour should the seats be???

leather
When I rebuilt my MGB I purchased a reconditioning kit which
contained a special cleaner, and a colour matched dye to apply
to the leather(you send a little sample of your seat colour when
ordering the kit). Worked very well. I think you will find it
advertised in Practical Classics or similar type mag.

LEATHER SEATS
As Kevin says you will always find a suitable area underneath
the seat from which you can cut a colour sample. I have found the
original label from the renovation kit and it is from 'WOOLIES'
of Blenheim Way, Market Deeping, Near Peterborough, UK.
Sorry no postcode info. Can someone confirm WOOLIES present
address as this kit is 22 years old!

I'd also replace the webbing and foam whilst you're at it... don't want to do all that work to have them rip due to weak straps.... Will cost you about £13 per seat from Bull Motif.
