front spring mounts on traveler

Post by cloud »

The floor around my right side front spring mount has many holes and I would like to replace this area before the spring mount completely separates from the floor :o . I have seen the panels that just has the spring mount with a patch of floor around it which would do it but am I better off doing the whole floor. Is this a difficult panel to replace because of the spring mount?. any suggestions ?

You really need to investigate the condition of the whole floor before deciding. The mount with 'fringe of floor' is intended for use where the rest of the floor is still good and solid. Whatever you do - you need to make sure the spring mount ends up in the correct place - so take careful measurements from fixed datums before starting the job!
