have to say best i have used (on several moggies) is from mark at bull motif, easy to fit and never had any problems.
Early Owen burton one ( based on cortina bar) was awfull, bushes kept popping out at tie rod end of bar as you braked.
New one from BM uses modern bushes at slide foward and aft allowing a little natural movement in front suspension.

'Fraid not. I sold the car on. The bushes fitted into a steel 'cup' that bolted onto the rear of the tie bar. The cup had it's open end forward so the bushes could never pop out backwards and be lost. The problem was that the bushes gripped the bar better than the cup and eventually shuffled forwards so they were half out of the cup and the bar wasn't being held as securely as it could be.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

roll bar
Yes, I had the early Owen Burton type, involved drilling holes
though the chassis legs, the bushes popped out and, eventually it
snapped in half!! I am using Mr Grumpy's type now because it
uses existing engine mount bolt holes for attachment. Works fine
but the connection to the suspension arms could be of a better
design. So far so good.

I seem to remember reading about a chap that made one using parts from a scrapyard that worked well, so all cheap. I keep meaning to try it as I spend most Saturdays at my mates scrapyard. I think the bar was from a Vauxhall. Will try and dig out the article if anyones interested. Might try it out aswell then.
cheers, Daniel

The pulling power of a Turbo Diesel! The voices may not be real, but they have good ideas.
