Sunny Inverness, so I think I am the closest so far. I haven't heard of any message board members who live up in Caithness but there are quite a few Minors up that way. Apparently the Post Office manager in Lybster has one but I have never seen it or met him and parked in a garage on the way into Wick there are a couple. The civil engineering company who resurface roads (JM Gunn I think they are called) have a van or used to?

When you see another minor flash your lights and give them a wave and you will have a friend forever.

Tredegar in north Gwent. To the north is the Brecon Beacons National Park (Where I work), so I am right on the end of the industrial (We not so now) industrial valleys.

I've been to John O Groats twice, the second time en route to Orkney. If time ever permits, I'd like to visit Orkney again (Ideally in June) and take my bike. It looks like great road cycling country, with good roads and not a lot of traffic. I can imagine it can get pretty windy but so does my morning commute over 1700 foot high moorlands. Plenty of unspoiled history too. If I had enough time, Shetland looks interesting - how do the roads compare with those in Orkney?

The far north west of Scotland looks interesting too.
