water in boot floor

have sealed the number plate fixings
new rubber seals on the rear bumper mounts
new seal around the boot lip

still getting some ater in any ideas

Isn't the rear screen one area prone to the odd leak?

Try some silicon sealant up inside the rubber joining the rear screen and some down the rubber where it joins the metal work, on the outside.

Seal around the petrol filler. Rear window - enter by the rubber then runs down the inside of the lining. down behind the seat, and ends up at the back of the car. Seal around the lock and handle. Hinge gaskets. Did you seal the badges when fitted? Sometimes it's just a poorly fitting boot lid or insufficient lip at the bottom of the opening. Good luck, been there, and still wearing the (damp) t-shirt!

Rear screen "usually" leaks into the car and runs under back seat. Maybe the boot seal isn't squashing down evenly all the way around. Try a slither of blue tack all around the seal - close boot lid - and see if it is squashed all around the apperture....

it is not coming from the rear windscreen or rubber as car is totally dry inside
new hinge gaskets
badge pins have been sealed and painted over

it has the earlier kind of rubber seal on the back for the boot lid

i will try the idea with the bluetack

I believe you can get 2 boot seals - one fits onto the "lip" of the car part of the aperture and the other is flat and glues to the boot lid. we had this trouble so fitted both. Seems to have done the trick.

Just checked and BM sell both - we used the early and the late together.

just checked inside the car and its all dry as a bone so must be getting in somewhere around the boot seal lower down where the boot catch is

Just a suggestion
While the boot is dry, line it with newspaper, close the boot pour a watering can with rose connected over the rear end of the car.
Dry off excess water with chamois, open boot and see where the newspaper is wet.
What abouit the holes where the wires go into the boot from the rear lights, it could be coming off the tyres from a wet road.
Got my car back from the garage today and found water in the boot myself on the nearside.

its been raining so ihave just gone out with a torch

fuel filler rubber is dry
grommets around the bumper mounting bars is dry

so it must be the seal that is round the boot aperture

had the same problem with mine eventually went round every nut on the inside of the boot and every entry point and stuck a blob of black silicon on each and rubbed it round the nuts etc cured the problem don't know where it was comming from but dry boot now
