lowlight grill

Post by Theboy »

Hi all, i am wanting to put a lowlight grill in a standard pick up. Is there any modifications needed to be done or is it a easy swap? Cheers

Lowlight grills are in short supply and therefore expensive

You will have to get new chrome work (eyebrows) for the wings to front panel, cut a section of the inner wing to accomodate headlights, cut wings to suit front panel (unless you fit lowlight wings - obtainable in fibreglass from JLH), and obtain early bumper valance (again available in fibreglass).
As a rough guide you will pay at least £200 (if you can get one) for a complete front panel, plus approx £250 for the rest + painting.

I think your country or Australia has the largest stock of low light grills? When they crop up on ebay they come from your neck of the woods....

You'll find all you need there easier than here.

I did it to my van, easy if you can get the parts, even the inner wings still have the holes for the headlight shroud panels! carroect headlight surrounds where the hardest thing for me to get (mine came from America as the headlight adjusters work on brackets fixed to the bottom of the chrome wings, although saying that it wasnt that hard to fabricate similar ones using motorbike rings untill I'd tracked down an original set.
I'll see you on the otherside'!
