I am fitting new seat belts to my 2door saloon and the part that bolts to the floor and the belt clips into is longer than the old ones. The old ones were 12in long and the new ones 18in long. Is it OK to re-drill the fixing hole further down the transmision tunnel so that they lne up with the seats.
Cheers, Jeff

I believe so, just be careful about the positioning of the hand brake cable when you drill through. I came through a bit close and the plate I have fixed behind in the tunnel to strengthen the metal, actually rubs on the exposed cable. Therefore I am going to sleeve the cable to protect it on the plate. Does that make sense?
