hi everyone
whats the best way to replace a clutch bearing???
engine out or gearbox out???
ive been told my bearing is a bit noisey will it do any damage????

Gearbox out, then you can get at it easier, unless you want to inspect the clutch as well. You will have to twist the box 90deg to clear the steering rack. Roller bearing thrust bearings are available for 1098 boxes.

Have a look inside the bellhousing - take the rubber plugs out - and inspect the bearing. Who says it's noisy ? But I would alsways prefer to lift the engine unless you need access to the box of course
