Hi guys!

Post by AWP »

Hi guys, I'm new to all this, be gentle with me...

Just recently bought this, and was perhaps ruled a little too much by my heart, saw it, had to have it. :(

Hopefully its not too far gone, I would like to do a full restore of it, so expect plenty of silly questions!

Its a 1961 (I think), pretty rusty in places, but I am driving it at the moment...

How bad do they have to be, before they are "beyond repair"?

Hi AWP - welcome to this site and Moggy World!. It's hardly ever too late to rescue a Morris. Almost all parts are available and those that are not available new can be found either second hand from this site or Ebay. If you post whereabouts you are in the country you may find we have members very near who could point you in the right direction of garages/welders etc. If there's an area of your car that has a problem post up some pictures using the Upload button below your post and we can see and then help.

Welcome aboard and I must say it doesnt look too bad so I assume beauty is only skin deep and the underside needs sorting out (a common problem)

Silly questions are our speciality as Lou has said its useful to pop up a picture if have a query about an area and are not sure what its called or even what it is, good luck & fingers crossed :D
Cheers

Welcome aboard! That Minor looks terrific - nothing showing to wory about - does it have some hidden secrets ?? Many on here have restored absolutely 'hopeless' basket case cars - where it would be totally uneconomic to pay to have them restored - the DIY movement takes charge - and some amazing cars hav emerged after afew months 9sometimes years) of graft.
If you don't have a workshop manual - PM me !!
Is that ok Kevin ??

Nice paint job. Metallic paint really brings out the curves nicely.
How about some pictures of the dodgy bits?
We wont laugh, people here are restoring cars that Fred Flintstone would have had doubts about :)
