BBC 'podcasts'

Post by Mick_Anik »

Is anyone else into these? I download them here in Poland so I can listen to Auntie Beeb.
There's one programme I really enjoy....Dr Karl, on Radio 5. A very nice Australian scientist answers questions from listeners. It's hosted by an equally nice Scottish chap.
You need an RSS feed reader - I got 'Juice', free - and then go through the podcast listings on the BBC website. Click 'RSS feed' for the podcast you want, copy the url for it (it ends in '.xml') and paste it into Juice, and it will scan automatically for new podcasts and download them.
All very simple, and free, and great for Brits abroad, or for folk who can't catch a programme they like when it's on live. Other stations do podcasts, too
Last week, I listened to a programme about Dogger Land......under the North Sea now off the northeastern coast, but it was once inhabited. Surveys are ongoing to find out more.
