problem with brake lights
I am a new Morris owner so can someone shed some light on how to get the screws out to change the brake bulbs on a seriesII 1954 morris minor, my partner tried to remove the screws to change the bulb, found that one of them was glued on by previous owner because the top had been broken off, then other one blew and while trying to remove the screws to renew it he took the top of his finger off!! He is a mechanic so I like to think he knows what he's doing! But there is obviously a knack to doing it, please help!!

Welcome to the Forum! Typical 'mechanic' - losing fingers indeed - tut tut. They are just 'screws' - so a good screwdriver of the correct size/form should do it. But - you have already discovered the PO has been gluing it together - and i'm afraid it's possible they may all be glued in! Nothing for it but to try better screwdriver. Good luck!

They are probably chrome plated screws, hard but brittle, so the chances are that they may snap off at the base which will leave you the job of extracting the stumps and redrilling and tapping the holes in the base.
I don't know of any parts suppliers who sell replacement finger tips.
Good luck!!!
