I'm not in the DCN but to quote from the Daf forum:
The link is here: [link]http://dafcars.proboards.com/index.cgi? ... thread=956[/link], but I'd reckon you're best off contacting the DCN if you fancy pre-ordering them. The latest copy of the DCN's magazine "Variomatic" landed on the mat today.
Vredestein is prepared to make, exclusively for the DCN, a batch of 135/80R14 tyres in their Sprint Classic profile using original dies. However they must order a 1000 tyres to start production. Unless at least 700 get pre-ordered with the club stores, then the project won't go ahead. (at least that was my reading of the last paragraph in Dutch that wasn't printed on the English half of the page)
Not cheap, at twice the price of a Bridgestone, but I think I'll put down Dilly for a set as I'm anti-wide when it comes to tyres. ;D
I'm not sure how the ordering will go, but can you think of any other cars of the period that were originally fitted with this now obsolete size? (I'm thinking some Renaults.)
