IMHO its bull muck. There is no way in heck that that conrod and gudgeon pin could be going up and down in there without bashing the bore to heck.

Well it is a Ford :wink: . I don't see how something like that could go undetected. A friend has a VW Type 2 camper and that kept going when one of the pistons had gone (I think the crown had separated). Once he got it home, it was repaired.
