LOCKING WHEEL NUTS

Post by PAULJ »

Having just about finished the restoration I cant find my locking wheel nuts. I have found the rest of the nuts and the special socket. Does anyone know where I might have put them :-? or where I can get a new set.
Cheers

Memory joggers.Glove box, parcel shelf, with car jack in the boot, taped to the spare wheel, taped to the back of a hub cap, taped to a wheel chock, on the wheel studs, if wheels not fitted, bottom of toolbox, socket set box,
overall pockets, threaded on a piece of wire hung off the front suspension,Shelf in the garage, in the house, kitchen drawer.....
trying visualizing the day you took them off and put the car on axle stands or a body roller.

good luck

In the last place you would think of, or else the fairies took them. They will turn up in 3 years time in a box in the shed

My usual technique is to stand in the middle of the workshop with something similar and throw it randomly over my shoulder - it's surprising how often that leads to finding the object - though windscreens could suffer from this process!!!
