Buying bits

Post by maverick »

Where do you think is the best place to buy engine bits from? If looking for a better manifold, inlet manifold, carb, etc. cant really see things like that on ESM Bull motif and Morris minor centre.

ebay is your friend - don't buy the first to come along - there will be others. MG Metro alloy inlet manifold and HIF 38 (or 44 for a 1275) carb are what you want. Can be found for ~ £5 each (plus post) if you search! Vizard book also plentiful on ebay - there is an A series one, and a Mini one. A series more directly useful if you don't have a Mini!

Well the last couple of manifolds sold for £40 and the carbs go for similar amounts its a long time since I have seen them go for a fiver, maybe they are cheaper over the border

I saw one of each go for £5 (plus post!) in recent weeks ! I'm not in the market - but I do have searches running all the time.
