How do I repair scrapes on wings?

I have unfortunately managed to scrape both my rear wings, and just wanted some advice on repainting them. I have got a couple of cans of spray paint ( grey primer and body colour ), do I just rub down scratched area till smooth and then paint? How much of surrounding area do I cover? D
I would like to do myself if possible, but want it to look half decent obviously and I am a complete novice at painting cars!

There is a Haynes book on body repairs - try Library? IF the scratches are not deep - then yes - you may get away with what you suggest. If deeper - you will need to gently rub down - fill with 'surfacer' - rub down again (1000 grit paper) - primer - rub down - primer - rub down - paint, paint paint - lots of thin coats. Then cutting compound and finally T cut.
