Just got the bought-at-the-National 948 engine installed in the Traveller, (with the bores being unworn, and having checked the big ends were new I decided it really had been rebuilt, and to risk the rest of it being fine as well) it fired after a couple of turns, giving a solid 60psi on the oil gauge (probably a little higher, 60psi was the limit of that gauge....) , and sounding very sweet - great improvement on the old engine, looking forwards to tearing that down and seeing just how knackered that one was!

I bought a set of leaf springs with poly-bushes. These are now on the car....first time the cars had its back axle attached for 2 years :D
Ultimate rust cure for your moggy....paint it brown, at least that way you dont notice the rust as much!!
