Restoration Help

Post by CrimsonB »

I'm hoping someone (or someones!) here can point me in the right direction.

I have a 1968 Minor 1000 that I inherited about three years ago. It was working and regularly run up until then, but since I can't drive, since then it's sadly been sat on a driveway doing absolutely nothing. It was a lovely car and I'd really like to see it restored and running again.

Problem is, I have no idea where to start. Can anyone offer me any guidance or advice?

Hi CrimsonB and welcome to the forum.

Best advice is to post your location and perhaps someone will offer to go along and have a look at what need attention.
At the very least post some photo's and give some description of what you are concerned with.

Best wishes with the work

Welcome CrimsonB! Interesting - you can't drive - are you intending to learn?

You've come to the right place - lots of people will be here to offer you help and advice and will probably ask you to put up some pictures of your moggie. Good luck :D

If its only been 3 years, then subject to it having been in reasonable nick, its unlikely to have deteriorated too badly.

Have you tried starting it up? Maybe get someone you know to move the car round to check it still drives?
