Looking at the beach it might be wise to consider antipodean versions of Brit cars too.

The grille is the wrong shape. In the first picture it is an oval shape not a half moon one. Plus look at the body panels - where they shut for the bonnet - they're totally different.

I was thinking Nash / Metropolitan- but without a side view that's a very basic guess! The colour is a bit subtle for that though.
Were they made in uk? I know they used UK running gear but can't remember if the different' styled body was made here or in the USA.

I thought that but the panels are wrong and the Metropolitan grille has a chrome surround.
