Oop, never answered rayofleamington's que. Yup, tab-washers are fitted and all (following tidbits of advice from older posts: man this message board is useful!).

P.S. it's amazing how much more relaxing it is to drive a post-MOT car than a pre-MOT car :D

I'm generally more relaxed for a good 363 days afterwards...
