where do i find a roof rack and can i fit 155s to a 145 rim?

Sorry the rack was bent with a spring inside the tube and clamped in a ply jig.there was not much of the jig left after gas welding the two side frames.
Just watch,the traveller roof is not parallel,it pinches in at the cab.<br><br>

WHEN, i get round to sorting a roofrack out (long way off yet LOL) Was thinking of clamps onto the wood frames.....Thinking of adapting a pair of Traveller Roof timbers across the roof with clamps onto the side timbers.....Failing that theres always the soft roof pad system for your board..one through the front doors and the other throught the sliding windows (as long as its not raining!!)

i think thats the sort of thing im looking for, is the one you made (gas), but i dont think im going to be able to make something so complex, the last and most complex thing i made was a metal chair that used springs and bending bars and it took a long time to get it right, which i still didnt get it right, if you get me.
im just wondering, you said about the t3, does it fit a traveller? or would a vw beetle fit a traveller?

Somewhere on You tube is a Traveller with a 3 bow Splitty rack....dont know if its been modified though...i can measure a beetle roof tomorrow but sure its narrower than a traveller

i could not justify cutting up a £300 imported rack,so i spent £80 all in and a weeks work.

The Flat4 roofrack i had on my squareback rusted in no time anyway!! So your better off making your own

The new hub caps on my 67 split bus rusted within the week.

The Beetle roof is about 4-5 inches narrower than the travellers..also if i remember right the Beetle roofrack has longer rear legs for the sloping roof
