DVLC Paperwork

Post by davidmiles »

Hello everyone,Ive sent off my v62 and sorn to Swansea, received the new vehicle document from them in good time, (only took three weeks)because the previous owner of my pickup relic thought he'd lost the docs, now they've re-surfaced and he's sent off the vehicle registration document off to DVLC with my name and address as the new owner/keeper. I'm worried that he wrote 28/5 date on the form as date of transfer, and Ive put it as 31/3 on my V62 all those weeks ago, will this throw a spanner in the DVLC works?

You could always write to them using any reference numbers they give you explaining that the lost documents surfaced again hence the date difference.

Yes, thanks RQ, that would be a positive and sensible thing to do.
mind you, having said that, the speed DVLC gets around to these things maybe I'm better off leaving things alone, I'm sure this re surfacing of documents for classis cars happens a lot.
