does the fiat run on unleaded? i would've thought because of the year it be 4 star...

Hi,
the Fiat head (8v) wasn't built to run unleaded as standard I'm afraid. So it's additives or an unleaded conversion required.

Unfortunately not suitable for unleaded.

I do seem to recall that some late turbo reverse port heads have hardened seat and bronze guides.

Not designed for unleaded. However,the outcome of using unleaded fuel in a leaded head is valve resesion (how do you spell that!). This can take many many thousands of miles before it becomes a noticable problem. At that point the worse thing that can happen is you have to have new unleaded seats fitted. Let the buggers wear out mate it'll be fine!!
