originality's sake

Post by FrankM83 »

HI all I am having a clearout at the garage as I have come up to the extreme of storing parts out in the fornt garden!!

amongst the parts found the very well rotten doors of my 53 van, now I have loads of better doors but should I repair the original doors on the van for it's originality or just fit better ones and scrap the old ones? Thanks

sorry if this a stupid question :)

If they are the original 53 doors then won't they have the fixed quaterlights that were exclusive to the very early vans or was yours not that early? :-?
Would be great to see those saved :D

yes it does have the fixed quarter, rotten but there! still the frame were removed from the doors, the doors are same as any other 4 door

den the van is supposed to be restored to original spec some day, if I find an 803cc engine! and fin someone good enough to replace the whole screen soof panel with a split screen one!
