On Thursday i took my starter motor in for reconditioning...after less than 24 hours and only £30 it works a treat! a very very happy customer! allegedly some rear bearigns were knackered, so all fixed up!
sooo...today i re fitted the starter, and tried to turn the car over, no spark. bugger! but...took the dizzy off and changed the points and condenser, put it all back on...IT FIRED UP!!!! for the first time since January i heard my car running! albeit it for about 3 seconds as i have no exhaust and it was ridiculously loud!
only a couple of little finishing touches to do, plus get the downpipe and then i will be back on the road! tres exiting!
oh...forgot to say as some of you might not know...it's a Fiat engine, hence the palava!
thanks to everyone who has helped with the wiring, it all worked!
OH MY GOSH!!! good times!

well yesterday evening i sorted out all the water ways, ie-putting in a temp gauge, rad hoses heater hoses etc. also the oil pressure gauge and vacuum gauge. so all is wired in proper now and full of water! which is nice!
today we finished off making the gearbox tunnel, needs a paint and a bit of touching up, but otehrwise ready to rock with that.
next up is to sort the prop centre mount, that will be tomorrow, then after that, fit the handbrake...then it really is a case of wait for downpipe!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING!!!
