i challenge any local minor fans to get my traveller running for a frre beer !
i have tried everything!!
i have a good spark ,fresh fuel and fuel entering cylinders ,good compression ,all gaps adjusted . strong battery and booster pack.
it did try and start a few times but now theres nothing ......but wet plugs
even the solenoid has a bout gave up !!!
its really doin me head in :x

have you got the plugs leads in the correct firing order

make sure the timing is not 180 degrees out

Wet plugs at least confirms there is fuel. Take the plugs out - and dry them thoroughly (gas blowtorch does a good job) but DO NOT wire brush them. Choke OFF - throttle held wide open - and crank the engine over for 10 seconds to clear out the petrol - and leave it overnight (still with plugs out) if possible. Then try again in the morn with the nice dry plugs - or new ones if you have them!

i have tried that a few times ,even warmed plugs up ! and set a light to the unspent fuel in the cylinders !!!

real shame as theres looks to be not alot needed for an m.o.t

Well - when I changed the cylinder head on my last Mini (1340 engine) I just could NOT get it to start - plenty of spark, plenty of fuel (wet plugs like you) jump leads/charged battery etc etc but it just would not start. Finally towed it up the road - and it started within 20 yds, and started every time after that perfectly normally. So I can only suggest you try a tow start!
