Hi out there
in case anyone has owned this Trafalgar Blue convertible, I\'ve now taken over the care and upkeep.

My parents used to own OYN833F which was a Trafalgar blue two door saloon! Did you by chance purchase you car from Charles Ware's Morris Minor centre? :D

Hi there ,
I did indeed buy it from Charles Ware but had been led to believe that it was an original convertible not a replica and it's still posted on their website as such.
Will have to follow this one up.
Thanks for the information. In any case, it's a lovely little car and came all the way from Bristol to North Yorkshire without any problems.

I'm not saying that it is not an original convertible at all!
I remember noticing the numberplate when i was there a few months back as our OYN was a family friend for many years! I have no reason to think that your car is anything but genuine :D
I hope it brings you many happy years of minoring to come! :D

Alarm over,I have now been able to confirm with an independent engineer that this is a 'real' convertible. The confusion appears to have been caused by a change in number plate somewhere along the way. The chassis number M/AT5 D1200561 M ties up with it being an original.
I'll post some photos as soon as I can get some on line.

As promised a while ago, here are a couple of shots, taken at Rudding Park Hotel near Harrogate of OYN 607F as it looks now. We probably look less impressive but then , we are older.
Image
" Change of number plate " sounds a bit worrying - but it does look a nice car! Good luck and happy motoring with it.
