it sneeks up on you.
get a nice gun finish and wait for the crackel effect, lurking somewhere.
this time on a rear bumper, the rest of the car is fine :o

I hope you have breathing apparatus Mark? I'd hate to have
to buy up all your cars because you had ceased to exist!! Then
again you probably did it in the open air which is why you have
a krinkly finish rushing around before it rained!!

not spraying it Wille, trying to get that 2 pac off, still a hazard though. it was a nice day on sunday, spraying took place inside, getting on top of it.
ps thanks for the reminder Wille, very true very important. have to enjoy the fruits of the labour.

someboddy told me that to limit the crinkle effect you should leave sanded paint at least 48 hours before spraying - this is to release any captive solvent that you have exposed by sanding the surface off.
Might only apply to newish paint, not 40 year old stuff, but thought I would pass on their comment. Not that I ever waited more than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea before spraying.... (rush jobs - don't u just love em)

what? if you spray cell on to 2 pac? not sure about that. the 2 pac will always react with cell unless you coat it with special primer which seals the 2 pac not allowing it to attack the cell as its drying. i had 2 pac, on one panel, the rear bumper valance, the rest of the car was cell. didnt notice it, at least its not the full car in crackle effect
ps to stop crackel effect from wax add a drop or two of silicon oil to the gun paint pot. not too much though.
