Jumping out of reverse
"Leonarda" has started jumping out of gear on reversing. She used to do it occasionally be seems to be more frequent now. Is this a sign to tell me that I should be sourcing a reconditioned gearbox? Not that I do much reversing!

Jumping out of reverse
Thanks,
All other gears are fine-it's only reverse and not always but becoming more frequent. I'll keep a close eye on the oil level although I have changed the oil (20/50) fairly recently. It does weep two or three drops a week-but only drops. Pity, I had the box out last year doing the OB crank seal. Engine and gearbox are perfectly clean underneath. I'll just be very careful and keep my eye out for a replacement.

dads car pops out of reverse every time if you give it any revs. but in first will take some stick. quite odd. i lost first in mine and lost reverse too(by odd i mean bloody annoying!) i would weather it for a while, as you say, not that much reversing is really done! but keep an eye out for a good gearbox "just in case".
