Rear suspension rebuild...

Post by youngun »

Been getting a bit confused by what I need to order here!

Im doing a full rebuild of the rear suspension, only things Im keeping from old are the axle (obviously) the dampers, the leaf springs and the damper mounting plates. Everything else (I think) I need new ones of!
Could someone please tell me what I need to order? Ive got this far so far.....
Rear shackle plates x4
Rear shackle pins x 4
U bolt plates x4
U bolts x 4
Bump stop rubbers x 2
Rear suspension poly bush kit (Ive contacted ESM to ask what exactly this contains)
Polyurethane pads for springs x 4
Front locating pin and plate x 2
Damper link arm (damper arm to chassis) I managed to fudge one of mine.....doh!

Anything Ive missed out?

Oh and has anyone got an exploded diagram of how the rear suspension is assembled onto the axle.....my memorys a bit lacking as its 2 years since it all came off!

thanks,
YG

Yea the one problem with my workshop manual is that its on a DVD, and I currently dont have a DVD drive........ :(

Still, ive just found the photos I took of when the back axle came off, so luckily ive got some points of reference.

thanks,

are you sure you really need all of that ... when I took mine apart all I needed to replace were the rubbers, bushes & shackle pins - the plates & u-bolts should clean up with a wire brush.
