I've had a look through Ray Newell's book "Original Morris Minor" and although the early convertibles did not have sun visors the photo's of the later convertibles (from 1956 onwards) all show the cars with sun visors.
Just noticed that muggwump's car is a '65 so should have sun visors as standard. Is the viewer perhaps trying to suggest that the car is not an original convertible?
Thanks a lot guys, I think this guy knows a bit about Minors but as they say 'a little knowlegde can be a dangerous thing'. I looked at the Bull Motif production changes list and from 1964 onwards they had crushable visors as standard.
Hi Judge, the crushable sunvisors were introduced as standard in '64 so maybe yours is just pre this change.
The viewer was trying to suggest that the car wasn't an original convertible. Now I'm not sure either way and this has been discussed on here by me and others at length, I was as honest as I could be and let him make his own mind up based on what he saw infront of him.
Anyway he bought the car so now I am minus a Minor. Very sorry to se her go.
