This is me in front of a winding wheel on the site of Fives colliery, Cannock.
 

...and in front of the sign for The Levels, Brereton. The sign gives the details of the site as the level crossing for the coal railway for Brereton mines. The track took the wagons to the canal basin.

Thanks for all the comments, lost out to a very worthy opponent though, loved the pics of Chatterly Whitfield.

Now, shall I take the grill for a tour up the road to the potteries tonight, or shall I get on with the welding...the weldings won I think. Sooo much to do if Molly's going to make it to the National. (p.s the grill isn't really Molly's yet, I picked it up at Stanford last year.

A quick google hast found bottle kilns in Ilkeston, Derby and Henley on Thames (Nettlebed) as well as the potteries.

Tecnicaly, as a Lime Kiln is a bottle kiln underground, I wonder if Cam would let that get through? There's some of them around if you look.

This is the best I could do: Fenchurch by the remains of two lime kilns in a Burnley car park. They are next to the Leeds-Liverpool canal.

Not exactly a staggering response from this weeks challenge... Maybe some consideration should be given to the geographical extent of the users on this board when challengers are set.....?

Seems that Bottle Kilns are a bit rare everywhere but here!

I think Alex's Lime Kilns have it as the closest (and only) one submitted!

I'm not sure when this picture challenge judging is, but at present the winner is Alex!
