I had Kumhos on an XR2 many years ago.
With all that power going through tiny 13 inch wheels they certainly got a good road testing. Much better than the classic Pirelli 500/5000s of the era.
I'd recommend them, then again, that was years ago and they'll no doubt have changed (for better or worse) since.
Never tried Toyos though all the mad RS folk rave about them - and yokos - and good years for that matter.
For the Minor I just bought budget ditch finders. They never seemed stressed and the car remained predictable even when hanging the tail out for giggles.
new rubber seems scarce at mo camacs are out of stock as are the bridgestones.firestone no longer make that size of tyre.i dont want to worry people but this is fundemental to the cars being on the road.i know you can get them from specilised tyre shops that advertise in classic car mags, but you are paying a premium for them ,something the club needs to address in my opion,a bit like the swivel pins ,and at the agm 2 years ago gearboxes were talked about has anything become of this .
Thanks for the prompt mate. I was trying to be neutral on the subject cos with two cars to get through an MOT by the end of this month I might have to stick with standard wheels and tyres after all.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
