After being faced with this, I rather foolishly cut out the inner flitch and hinge. After fitting the flitch repair panel I'm Having trouble getting the hinge post correctly positioned, has anybody got any advice? When wing fitted gap at top of wing wider than bottom, yet door seems to be in place cheers[/b]<br>

After pulling my hair out for two days I plucked up enough courage to return to the garage and face my problem. I decided to approach from a different angle so far I have been trying to fit the door to a wrongly positioned hinge panel (pattern replacement) I thought that as i know the door fits in the hole, get that positioned correctly and offer the hinge panel to the door it wouldn't be far out.
So hinge panel cut off and cleaned up again I put the front door in, got equal gaps, placed the hinge panel so it covered the door hinges and tacked it in place. Voila (as they say elsewhere).
Took door out and was met by a gap off about 1/2 inch from panel to A post, Made a little plate tacked this on and bolted door on. It fits, tried the wing and the gap is now constant.
The lesson I have taken from this experience is one that should help me through the rest of my
