Rover 75 seats

Post by Sidney'61 »

Will these rover 75 front seats fit easily in the minor on the subframes made for metro seats? I assume they're basically the same.

Andy, what are you assuming are basically the same? If you mean Metro to 75 seats then they are about as close as Mini to a Rolls Royce. Anything can be made to fit if they will fit in the space available but it is unlikely the 75 seats will drop straight onto Metro subframes

And these have airbags in....

They don't look too wide though, and they are comfy.

@ 35 quid what have you got to lose..

If they fit you could write an article about it and start a trend

Just thought it might be worth a try, rover 200 seats fit fine but i don't know how much bigger the 75 ones are, i just assumed that all being rover they'd have a similar base, we'll see...

Also that pattern is fairly similar to the later style minor seats so would fit in okay...possibly...

They would certainly look nice if they could be made to fit in... Go on, try it and let us know :-)

I guess you are talking about mine  :D

The seats don't look a lot different but the runners look to be spaced much furter apart. If so they will cause problems with the transmition tunnel. Ask the seller about this - the 200 seats have runners at 18" centres.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Thanks Pete, I'll try to find out.

Thanks all, I'll keep you informed if I get round to doing it.
