That would be great if you could take the time to look at your car. That would tell me for sure where to hook my wire for the heater.
I might even sleep better at night. lol
I pulled out a mile of wire that the old owner had put in place. Some of it went no where. At least he did tape the end of most of the wires. The heater connection is the last wire to install. I have worked on cars all my life so i do know more then the basics. I still can use all the help i can get on some projects.

I am sure PSL 148 is very smart from his prior post on the motor. I am sure PSL184 will post to other messages. I hope he will post to mine in the future. I just like to stay focased on the subject. I do not know him and took the post wrong. I think he under stands that now........

The problem with the wiring of heaters is probably because until fairly late in the Minor's life the heater was an optional extra in many countries and therefore was not always shown on the wiring diagrams.
I know it is a total nightmare when previous owners have added non standard wires everywhere. I have just replaced all my wiring with new custom made looms with all the extra wires, rear fogs, reversing lights etc. built in. I have kept the old loom so that I can strip out sections of the correct colour code when I need to do any additional wiring.

I think may be why i had no sense of humor when i got PSL184's post. This has been a total nightmare. It is hard to tell what people were thinking some times. The prior owner would run a wire. Not finish what he was doing so he would tuck the wires under the dash. Next time run new wires or go on to a new projecb and do the same thing. It was hard to tell what was live and what was not. It was not some thing i wanted to do. It was some thing i had to do. I try to run on the KIS code. (Keep it simple). Like the Morris was originally. Not that upgrades are bad. I did put disks in the front to help stop the car better. I am so close to finishing with the wiring that i find it stress full that i can not find where the last wire goes. I could just hook it in any where and hope. But I want to do it right so i do not burn down the car in the process.

Thats for bringing it to my attention. i missed it when i looked at the diagram last time.
Barry's diagram is for the newer model with the stabilizer. I would rather some one with a 1960 confirm where their wire is connected. I am at the point where i may just not hook up the heater. I only used it when i have my lady in the car and with summer coming it will not be needed for some time.

Just to clear up one point. What sort of heater have you got? Is it the circular "fug stirrer" that screws on the seam under the dash and onto the edge of the parcel shelf, or is it the later fresh air heater with the trunking running from the radiator grill through the engine bay to the heater?

Found another wiring diagram with a heater on P. N38, items 15 & 16 these do not run through a voltage stabilizer which in any case is only used as a junction. The switch is built into the heater so no problems. There should be 2 short wires coming out of the heater, a black one which you can extend enough to bolt on to a suitable earthing point and a white one which connects to any suitable green wire. When you have connected the wires up check that the heater is blowing air through the matrix into the car. Also check that your screen demisters are connected
If you have a rotary rheostat switch it should be in the off position fully anti clockwise. Turn it a little clockwise and it should be fully on, keep turning and it should slow down smoothly
