I have been told by the guy that sold her to me told me that she was exported when she was built, to jamaica for a dignitary. my log book shows the export and that she was re-registered back in this country in 1979. the number plate that is on her is PLW 245 L. this is a 1972 plate. does anyone know any info about her, or know anywhere that would be able to help me trace her history??

You can ask the DVLA for the previous owners, they do charge a (small) fee.
Another thing you can do is enquire at the Heritage Centre.
If you happen to live relatively close to Gaydon in Warwickshire you can pop in and ask if there are any relevant details for the car.
In the case of my PKD Lowlight there wasn't much at all, but you may have more luck.
And welcome
