interior trim

Post by ian.mcdougall »

My trim panels with armrests that cover the quarter panels on a two door are distorted from getting damp, Does anyone know the best way they can be straightened and by what method. Would soaking them in water, pressing them flat and allowing them to dry out work, has anyone got a good method that they have used that works

also another question, can old leather be reinforced from the back and what with, I have 1953 leather faced seats and the leather is very brittle and is inclined to be prone to tearing
Image
Do you have a web address for woolies and the leather has a few tears in it so will need reinforcing on the inside as every time i sit in the seat i fear it will tear more it has the strength of tissue paper
