darn it, just got in with me camera after taking in the sferics around Avonmouth. O well, shame to waste it. Note rustic cottage in background. Very good, very cheap. :)

Nice one!
On a similar note, Harrier wings almost fit Morris Minors....

I nearly submitted this for the 'typical house' theme last week, but was concerned about appearing lazy, in that I didn't actually get out of my computer chair and just pointed the camera out of the window. Zero points for effort really! But it does feature a rural Herefordshire cottage and a Morris Minor...

Hi Folks, not sure if Healthy coming along to Judge, so I like BRP81A from John Rocke well done!!

So what about a festive theme, your Morris minor amongst lots of Christmas lights such as a town centre, or parked up infront of a house that covered in lights? This should be really easy, so lots of entries please.

Lets start the ball rolling then on the Christmas light theme:

Image

The exciting blue Christmas lights of Tenbury Wells!
The bit of trivia about this view is that the black and white building on the right is the Bridge Hotel, where in 1963 the Beatles, had been booked to play for £100. By the time the date arrived they'd just had their 1st number one hit. Oddly enough the three shillings and six pence tickets sold out very quickly....

Sorry this is a little late for the aviation theme. When I was a child, in 195 ummm hmmm cough cough, my father took me to an airshow at a nearby city here in New Zealand.

We travelled there in a bus with a whole lot of other dads and their kids, and a great day was had by all.

One item was a mass parachute drop from a DC3, the parachutists landed and then the DC3 landed. No-one really noticed that the DC3 didn't come back from the end of the runway after it had landed.

When we left at the end of the airshow, there was the DC3 with it's nose planted into the back window of the bus we had travelled on. It had had brake problems and run off the end of the runway, run down an embankment and into the area where all the cars were parked.

Why I'm mentioning this is because one of the DC3s wheels was planted firmly on the roof of a Morris Minor which was now only a couple of feet high. Morrie Minors were quite new then.

We travelled home with everyone jammed into the front half dozen rows of seats, and the wind howling through the broken windows at the back of the bus. I wonder what the Morrie owner said and how they got home?

Time to end this theme I reckon!

I think you'll agree for sheer effort the winner must be Ladysister, aka Lily. Congratulations!!

Whats the next topic to be Lily?
