My xmas list consisted of Vizards book and some other books on tuning the 1275. My dad gave me an early christmas... vizards book... heaps of mini tuning books and an original bmc workshop manual on tuning the 1275... something I have been told was hard to find at the time as he had to call in a couple of favours from friends of his in the motor trade.

I have also been given a twin carb with air box, new water pump, fuel pump, brake servo, spark plugs, fuel filters (all NOS) along with other things in black bags from his old cars. I've also got four new tyres and four wheels (not new), although they weren't a present.

I've got weeks and weeks of reading material and supplies for lots of tinkering.

Morrisons have world peace on offer with pringles, pepsi and 7up; currently buy one get two free.

Dalebrignall, you're spot on. I am not religious but I love what christmas represents. I really honestly think people are just that tiny bit nicer in the run up to christmas... unless they're in a shopping centre!

The thing I look forward to most about christmas is the trip out with my family on Christmas Eve (cinema and meal out) and the whole day just having fun with family on Christmas day. It is that little more special that I live a hundred miles from them now. I do not completely understand the gluttony of Christmas nor the getting into debt to buy expensive things. I make all my presents, I have spent weeks carving an elephant for my mum and my brother is having various bottles of flavoured drinks (one of which will be bacon vodka... absolutely fantastic, real smooth smokey flavour!). (well off topic now, sorry :P)

Do we all have a Christmas meal on Christmas day?
My family always had us round the table on crimbo eve then again on Boxing day at ours or a relatives. That way we were properly fed and everyone had a lazy Christmas day (20 mins cooking a turkey slop for the appointed chef was as bad as it got.
It worked very well but married life has caused a few upsets as traditions clash. IYKWIM?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Yes, I'd like to put it as having continuous variable transmission, but it does work with two belts.

Always traction though as it has a limited slip diff (Even though it doesn't actually have a diff)

She is called Isabel (after my '54 who is sadly missed)

One of my friends used to have a daf pickup. He used to keep spare belts in his pocket! We changed it one night in a country lane by torchlight! :D
