Where will you get the undersize trunnions - and the re-cutting ? Not intending doing that myself - but it's just to complete the thread for others reading it now - and later!
The MMOC spares man, Bryan Gostling. He charges about £60 per swivel pin, this includes a trunnion. Plus any profit made goes back into the club (for which I am a member now).

The long term answer to the problem is to convert your car to take M1000 swivel pins and still keep the early brakes and drums. To do this go into the Series MM website, click on Technical Info and scroll down to Swivel Pin Modification which will give you full instructions.
I agree Mike, long term yes. While I can afford it and I can actually get bits, I will try and keep my car as original as possible at the moment.

Ray obviously has faith in my knowledge of Series MMs. Sorry to disappoint
I wouldn't call that too much of a dissapointment Mike - well done for finding the answer.

The only give away that you have modified the front suspension is the round boss above the steering arm on M1000 swivel pins, otherwise the front suspension looks perfectly standard and you even keep all the Series MM braking assembly and wheels.
There is a further modification where the back plate and wheel cylinders are swapped for 948 brakes when you get fed up with paying £60 for a Series MM wheel cylinder but I haven't got that far yet.
