Here is the wood, the former owner had already removed it when I got the car. Its shot, I'm suprised this car didn't fall apart while on the road.
Image
Nobody here can afford new cars these days either - and in any case - they are ~ twice the price of American cars - and so is the fuel! You lads have it real easy as far as cars are concerned.
That's why the Morris Minor is so very popular. Cheap to buy and run - easy on fuel - and zero depreciation !

I got the Morris because my wife thinks it's cute and it's always good to have her on my side. :D

Hahahahahah .. I like your style!

You might want to look at upgrading the brakes and suspension first tho ;)

Even the legendary Wolseley brake upgrade might struggle with a hemi upgrade

Oh, I was just pulling your leg, I'll probably either find an MG motor or leave the stock one in it. The Hemi is only in my dreams. Besides, the guy that sold the car to me swears it only has 28K miles on it. It was apparently driven up and down a runway to scare away gulls so that planes could land in an airport in northern England. I think it was a little old lady that did the driving too.

She must have parked it in the sea between runs because I doubt all this rust could have been acquired in 28K miles without a dash of salt.

I was going to say that a '71 must be very rare in the US. I think the US imports/exports stopped around 1967/8

I was told the car was imported in 1996 however it must have been almost as rusty then as it is now. If it were me, I would have imported something that was a lot more solid.
